Placements24 is partnering with a prominent nonprofit to recruit a Grant Manager who will drive grant acquisition and management from a fully remote position in South Africa. You will identify funding opportunities, craft compelling proposals, manage the grant lifecycle, and ensure compliant reporting and budgeting across multiple funders.

The role requires strong writing skills, 5+ years of grant experience, and a deep understanding of SA educational funding landscapes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business Admin, or Public Admin.
• Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years in grant writing, grant management, or fundraising.
• Demonstrated success in securing grants from various sources.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Strong analytical and research skills for complex programs.
• Proficiency in grant management software and databases.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential grant funding sources from foundations, government agencies, and corporations.
• Develop and write persuasive grant proposals, applications, and supporting documents.
• Manage the entire grant lifecycle, from pre-award research to post-award reporting and compliance.
• Cultivate relationships with grantors and serve as the primary contact for funding inquiries.
• Oversee grant budgets, ensuring financial compliance and accurate reporting.
• Monitor grant performance and outcomes, providing updates to senior management.
• Ensure all grant activities adhere to policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with program staff to gather information for proposals and reports.
• Maintain a database of grant opportunities, submissions, and awards.
• Stay informed about trends and best practices in grant management and philanthropy.
