Placements24 is seeking a skilled remote Grant Writer & Program Developer to identify funding opportunities and craft compelling proposals for educational initiatives. Based in or serving the Western Cape region, you will design programs that address local disparities while collaborating with distant teams to ensure alignment with the organization's mission.

The ideal candidate has strong writing abilities, deep knowledge of grant cycles, and a proven track record in nonprofit program design.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of grant writing and program development experience.
• Experience in the charity sector is preferred.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify potential funding sources, including grants, foundations, and corporate giving programs.
• Write, edit, and submit high-quality grant proposals, applications, and reports.
• Develop innovative and effective program designs aligned with educational goals and community needs.
• Collaborate with program staff and stakeholders to gather information and ensure proposal accuracy.
• Manage grant timelines and ensure all submission deadlines are met.
• Monitor grant compliance and reporting requirements.
• Assist in developing program logic models, budgets, and evaluation frameworks.
• Build and maintain relationships with key funding agencies and partners.
• Stay informed about trends and best practices in education and grant funding.
• Contribute to the overall strategic development of the organization's programs.
