Placements24 is seeking a Grant Funding Specialist to secure resources for expanding impact across Limpopo and beyond. This remote-first role focuses on identifying grant opportunities, crafting compelling proposals, and managing relationships with funders.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional writing, research, and analytical skills with a proven track record in grant acquisition and fundraising within the nonprofit sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• 5+ years of demonstrable grant writing and fundraising experience with a strong portfolio.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills for compelling narratives.
• Proven ability to research and identify funding opportunities.
• Strong analytical and project management skills.
• Familiarity with grant databases and research tools.

Responsibilities

• Research potential grant opportunities from foundations, government, and CSR programs.
• Develop high-quality grant proposals, including narratives and budgets.
• Manage full grant lifecycle from prospecting to reporting and compliance.
• Cultivate relationships with program officers and funders.
• Monitor grant status and ensure timely reports and updates.
• Collaborate with program staff to gather data for applications and reports.
• Analyze grant performance and refine fundraising strategies.
• Stay informed about best practices in grant writing and nonprofit fundraising.
• Maintain an organized system for tracking opportunities and awarded funds.
