Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join a remote national engineering team. You will apply academic knowledge to design, analyze and develop mechanical systems, collaborating with experienced professionals and contributing from anywhere in South Africa to projects spanning Richards Bay related operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks or AutoCAD) and engineering simulations recommended.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret engineering data.
• Excellent communication and ability to work in a remote, collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and development of mechanical components and systems using CAD software.
• Perform engineering analysis including stress, thermal and fluid dynamics calculations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate designs into larger projects.
• Support testing and validation of prototypes and systems.
• Contribute to technical documentation, drawings and reports.
