Placements24 is seeking an organized and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper for a completely remote role based out of Gauteng. You will manage daily bookkeeping, payroll, and financial reporting while collaborating with a distributed team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role (minimum 4 years).
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and GAAP.
• Proficiency with bookkeeping software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
• Excellent data entry skills and a high degree of accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and receivable processing.
• Perform bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations regularly.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
• Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Generate financial reports, including P&L statements and balance sheets, for management review.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and tax requirements.
• Maintain organized and accessible financial records for audit purposes.
• Implement and maintain efficient bookkeeping systems and processes.
• Liaise with external accountants for tax preparation and audits.
