Placements24 is seeking a remote Bookkeeper and Accountant for a Durban-based role. You will manage day-to-day financial activities from your home office, including recording transactions, bank reconciliations, and producing monthly financial statements.

The position requires a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Accounting or Bookkeeping with at least 3 years of experience, proficiency in Pastel, Sage, and MS Excel, and a strong detail orientation.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Bookkeeping.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting roles.
• Proficiency in Pastel, Sage, and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including recording transactions and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting regulations and tax requirements.
• Liaise with clients to gather financial information and provide accounting support.
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records for audit purposes.
