About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and knowledgeable Remote Freight Forwarder Specialist to manage international and domestic shipments from a remote location. This role is critical for ensuring that goods are transported efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with all regulations. You will coordinate with carriers, customs brokers, and clients to facilitate the movement of cargo across various modes of transport. This is a fully remote position, requiring excellent communication skills and the ability to manage complex logistics processes independently, leveraging technology to maintain seamless operations and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Arrange and manage the transportation of goods via air, sea, and road freight, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including customs declarations, bills of lading, and import/export permits.
• Communicate with clients, carriers, and customs officials to track shipments, resolve issues, and provide updates.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs laws, and company policies.
• Identify and select reliable carriers and negotiate freight rates.
• Maintain accurate records of all shipments and transactions within the company’s tracking systems.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Freight Forwarder, Logistics Coordinator, or in a similar international shipping role.
• In-depth knowledge of international shipping procedures, customs regulations, and trade compliance.
• Proficiency in using freight forwarding software and standard office applications.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and partners remotely.
• Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is advantageous.
