Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Freight Forwarder to join its international logistics team. This fully remote role supports operations for the Sandton region, coordinating cross-border shipments and handling all documentation and customs compliance.

You will arrange air, sea, and land freight, liaise with customs brokers, airlines, shipping lines, and trucking firms, and negotiate carrier rates to optimise costs. Strong communication and a logistics qualification are valued.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Freight Forwarder or in international logistics.
• Strong understanding of shipping regulations, customs procedures, and Incoterms.
• Proficiency in using freight forwarding software and tracking systems.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and prioritize tasks remotely.
• A relevant certification or degree in logistics or international trade is advantageous.
