Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous FMCG Quality Assurance Officer for our Mossel Bay site in the Western Cape. You will drive QMS implementation, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and safety standards across production.

Reporting to the quality team, you will maintain robust documentation, investigate deviations, and collaborate with production and R&D to uphold product integrity and consumer trust in a dynamic FMCG environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related.
• 3-5 years of QA/QC experience in FMCG.
• Strong knowledge of QMS, GMP, HACCP.
• Proficient with lab testing methods and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage the quality management system (QMS) according to standards for FMCG products.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes, raw materials, and finished goods.
• Develop and maintain quality control documentation, including SOPs and batch records.
• Investigate deviations, customer complaints, and non-conformances and implement CAPA.
