Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive and organized Remote Fleet Coordinator to manage and optimize transportation operations from a remote location. You will coordinate schedules, oversee driver assignments, and leverage technology to monitor performance.

This role requires strong communication with drivers and maintenance teams, plus meticulous record-keeping and problem-solving to keep costs down and efficiency up.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in fleet management, logistics, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of fleet operations and transportation management software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage remote teams.
• Proficiency in using digital tools for coordination and reporting.
• High level of organization and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask effectively.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily fleet operations, including scheduling deliveries and driver assignments remotely.
• Monitor vehicle GPS tracking and performance data to ensure efficiency and compliance.
• Communicate effectively with a distributed team of drivers, providing support and guidance.
• Manage maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs with third-party service providers.
• Maintain accurate fleet records, including mileage, fuel consumption, and service history.
• Address and resolve any logistical or operational challenges that arise.
