Placements24 is seeking a Remote Fleet Operations Analyst to support our national transportation network from a fully remote position near Bloemfontein. You will analyze telematics, fuel, maintenance, and driver data to drive cost efficiency and performance insights.

The role requires a quantitative degree and 3+ years of data analysis experience, with strong proficiency in Excel/SQL/Python/R. Flexible hours and access to advanced analytics tools are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
• 3+ years of data analysis experience, preferably in transportation/logistics.
• Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Python, or R.
• Experience with fleet management software/telematics is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze fleet telematics, fuel consumption, maintenance records, and driver behavior data to identify trends and anomalies.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track KPIs related to fleet utilization, costs, and safety.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction through route optimization and preventative maintenance strategies.
• Collaborate with fleet managers and operations teams to implement data-driven recommendations and monitor impact.
• Research new technologies and best practices in fleet management to propose innovative solutions.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all fleet-related systems.
