Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Buyer focused on raw materials for manufacturing. The role requires securing quality inputs, negotiating with suppliers, and maintaining continuity of supply for production.

You will monitor commodity markets, develop sourcing strategies, and collaborate with production, R&D, and QA teams. The position offers fully remote work with flexible hours and opportunities to impact global supply chains.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required in a related field such as Supply Chain Management, Economics, or Business.
5+ years of dedicated experience in purchasing or sourcing raw materials for manufacturing.
In-depth knowledge of commodity markets, international trade and logistics.
Proven negotiation skills and experience managing complex supplier contracts.
Ability to analyze market data and forecast price trends for raw materials.
Excellent remote communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Source and procure a wide range of raw materials, ensuring quality and cost targets.
Develop and execute sourcing strategies for key material categories amid volatility.
Negotiate favorable terms, pricing and contracts with domestic and international suppliers.
Monitor global commodity markets, economic indicators, and supplier performance.
Collaborate with production, R&D and QA to meet material requirements.
Maintain accurate inventory levels and manage lead times to prevent disruptions.
