Placements24 invites a Lead Mechatronics Design Engineer to drive end-to-end mechatronic development within a remote-first engineering team. You will blend mechanical, electrical, and software expertise to deliver robust automation solutions.

Based in the East London, Eastern Cape innovation hub, this role offers full remote work with flexible hours, leadership opportunities, and state-of-the-art design tools.

Formación

• Master's degree in Mechatronics or related field.
• 7+ years of mechatronic design experience.
• Proven leadership of engineering projects and cross-functional teams.
• Strong CAD and mechanical analysis (FEA) proficiency.
• Familiarity with C++/Python is a plus.
• Excellent remote collaboration skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead mechatronic system design across mechanical, electrical, and software domains.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models for mechanisms and enclosures.
• Define system architectures with electrical/embedded teams.
• Develop sensor, actuator, motor, and control hardware specs.
• Perform stress, vibration, and thermal analyses.
• Oversee prototyping, testing, and validation.
• Troubleshoot cross-domain integration issues.
• Manage project timelines and resources.
• Stay abreast of robotics and automation advances.
