Placements24 is seeking a Head of E-commerce Social Media & Content to architect and execute innovative strategies that drive brand engagement, customer acquisition, and sales for our ecommerce operations. This remote-first leadership role requires strategic thinking and the ability to manage a dispersed team across South Africa.

You will develop and own the social media and content roadmap, oversee the calendar, mentor a team of creators and managers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• 7+ years in social media marketing and content strategy, with ecommerce focus.
• Proven track record leading large-scale campaigns with measurable outcomes.
• Excellent copywriting, editing and storytelling skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own the overarching social media and content strategy for the ecommerce business.
• Lead creation and curation of high-quality content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn.
• Oversee social media calendar, posting schedules and brand messaging.
• Mentor a dispersed team of social media managers, content creators and community managers.
• Drive audience growth, engagement and community-building initiatives.
• Develop and execute paid social media advertising strategies to maximize ROI.
• Analyze performance metrics, generate reports and present findings to senior leadership.
• Identify trends and opportunities in social media and content marketing.
• Collaborate with marketing, product development and customer service.
• Manage content budget and allocate resources efficiently.
