Placements24 is seeking a Social Media & Community Manager for a fully remote, South Africa-based team. You will craft content, manage channels, engage with the community, and drive traffic and loyalty across our e-commerce platforms.

You will collaborate with marketing and customer service to ensure consistent brand messaging, stay ahead of trends, and develop calendars for content and campaigns. A creative mindset and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Social Media Manager, Community Manager, or similar in e-commerce or online brands.
• Excellent understanding of major social platforms and best practices.
• Strong content creation skills including copywriting and basic visual editing.
• Experience with social media management and analytics tools.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with e-commerce objectives.
• Create, curate, and schedule engaging content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest).
• Monitor channels, respond to comments/messages promptly, foster positive community interaction.
• Identify and engage with influencers and brand advocates to amplify reach.
• Track and analyze performance metrics; provide regular engagement and growth reports.
• Stay current with trends and best practices in social media and community management.
• Collaborate with marketing and customer service to ensure consistent brand messaging.
• Grow online community and enhance customer loyalty; manage social media ad campaigns.
