Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced E-commerce Social Media Strategist to lead and refine social media efforts in a fully remote role within South Africa. You will craft innovative strategies to boost brand visibility, engagement, and online sales, leveraging analytics and content trends to drive campaigns across major platforms.

The role requires 4–6 years in social media strategy, a data-driven mindset, and strong collaboration with the marketing team to align with ecommerce goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field.
• 4–6 years in social media strategy, preferably in e-commerce.
• Proven data-driven campaigns with measurable results.
• Strong analytics and reporting using platform insights.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies to support e‑commerce goals.
• Define target audiences and tailor approaches across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn.
• Create and manage detailed content calendars with creators and designers.
• Oversee social media advertising campaigns, budgets, targeting and optimization.
• Monitor, analyze and report on performance with actionable insights.
• Manage online community interactions professionally and promptly.
• Stay updated on trends, platform changes, and emerging tech.
• Collaborate with marketing to integrate social strategies with broader campaigns.
• Identify influencers and brand advocates to expand reach.
