Placements24 is seeking a remote E-commerce Social Media Strategist to advance our online presence and drive revenue. You will craft compelling narratives and engage diverse audiences across all major platforms from anywhere in South Africa.

You will design strategies, create platform-specific content, and analyze performance using analytics tools. Collaboration with ecommerce and creative teams will ensure cohesive campaigns and measurable impact.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Social Media Strategist in the ecommerce sector.
• Strong knowledge of major platforms (IG, FB, TikTok, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest) and ads.
• Skilled in content creation, copywriting, and visual storytelling.
• Experience with social media management and analytics tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement social media strategies for online retail, focusing on engagement and conversion.
• Create, curate, and schedule platform-specific content (visuals, copy, video).
• Monitor trends, competitors, and customer conversations to identify opportunities.
• Analyze campaign performance and provide actionable insights and reports.
• Collaborate remotely with ecommerce, product, and creative teams for cohesive messaging.
• Grow and manage online communities, building brand loyalty.
