Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in financial services or fintech.
• Solid understanding of IFRS and South African tax laws.
• Proficiency in Sage and QuickBooks Online; advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting; strong time management.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations including GL, AP/AR, and payroll processing.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual IFRS financial statements.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and data accuracy checks.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasts; monitor performance vs plans.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory reporting.
• Support internal/external audits with documentation and explanations.
• Drive process improvements for efficiency and data integrity.
• Collaborate with teams remotely and maintain strong internal controls.
