Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Accountant to join our finance team in a fully remote role with proximity to Centurion. You will maintain accurate financial records and support strategic financial planning in a flexible, independent environment.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting with 3-5 years of relevant experience, strong IFRS knowledge, and proficiency with ERP systems and accounting software. Competitive salary and ongoing development support are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar accounting role
• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems
• Solid understanding of IFRS and local tax legislation
• Proven ability to manage workload independently in a remote setting
• Strong attention to detail and analytical capabilities

Responsibilities

• Manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data
• Prepare monthly financial reports (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow)
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts
• Assist with tax calculations and submissions (VAT, Income Tax)
• Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors as required
