Placements24 is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a fully remote role within South Africa. You will design, develop, and deploy robust backend services and APIs, focusing on microservices architecture, scalability, and security.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and help define technical direction while delivering high-quality fintech software for a dynamic market. The role supports flexible hours and remote collaboration.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5–7 years of professional software development experience with a strong backend focus.
• Experience designing and building scalable microservices architectures.
• Proficiency in at least one modern language (Python, Java, Go, C#).
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and data modeling.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
• Architect and implement microservices-based solutions with high availability.
• Write clean, well-documented code following best practices.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and product managers on API requirements.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality.
• Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and security.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across the stack.
