Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Remote Financial Controller to lead our financial operations from anywhere. You will manage a remote finance team, shape financial strategy, and ensure the integrity of IFRS reporting and controls.

The role requires a Master's in Finance or Accounting, CA(SA) or equivalent, 10+ years in finance with ≥5 years in controllership, and strong knowledge of IFRS, budgeting, forecasting, and ERP systems.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
CA(SA) or equivalent is essential.
10+ years in finance and accounting with ≥5 years in controllership.
Proven remote team management experience and IFRS expertise.
Proficiency with advanced financial software and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, FP&A, tax, and treasury on a remote basis.
Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Manage budgeting and forecasting process with strategic insights.
Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulatory requirements across jurisdictions.
Supervise and mentor a distributed finance team.
