Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Financial Manager to lead the finance function in a fully remote role in South Africa. You will oversee accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring IFRS compliance and strategic planning.

The ideal candidate holds CA(SA) or CIMA with at least seven years’ progressive experience, and demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills to guide the finance team and inform senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CA(SA) or CIMA essential.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in financial management.
• Experience in financial planning, analysis and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and South African tax laws.
• Excellent leadership, communication and strategic thinking skills.
• Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Develop and implement financial strategies to support company growth and profitability.
• Manage cash flow, investments, and capital expenditures.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations, and other relevant legal requirements.
• Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
