Job summary

Vert Environmental is seeking a highly organized Project Coordinating Manager to lead the Project Coordinating and Field Technician Departments in a fully remote capacity. You will manage schedules, coordinate field projects, and serve as a key liaison between clients, laboratories, and internal teams to ensure timely, accurate reporting and exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year university.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the environmental industry or related field.
• Experience supervising employees and managing departmental operations, schedules, and workloads.
• Strong project coordination and organizational skills with multiple projects and priorities.
• Leadership, delegation, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with a client-service orientation.
• Ability to communicate with clients, field technicians, laboratories, homeowners and internal teams.
• Working knowledge of environmental testing and laboratory concepts and ability to explain technical information clearly.
• Experience reviewing and interpreting laboratory results and project documentation.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing reports, invoices, and deliverables.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; ability to learn databases and project management systems.
• Ability to work under pressure, solve problems quickly, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Experience training, mentoring and developing team members.
• English proficiency at B2 level or above.
• Professionalism, honesty, and integrity.
• Proactive in removing roadblocks for clients and internal teams.
• Remote-work experience with a home office setup and stable internet.
• Willingness to work Monday-Saturday as needed, including outside hours.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the Project Coordinating and Field Technician Departments.
• Lead and supervise department employees, schedules, responsibilities, and performance.
• Coordinate and prioritize field projects to meet deadlines and requirements.
• Serve as liaison between coordinators, technicians, clients, laboratories, and internal teams.
• Oversee client communication, pricing, proposals, and service concerns.
• Review and interpret laboratory results and communicate findings clearly.
• Oversee preparation, review, and approval of reports, invoices and deliverables.
• Coordinate with laboratories on sample analysis, turnaround times, and issues.
• Cross-train team members and optimize workflows.
• Conduct department meetings, monitor progress, and address bottlenecks.
• Train, mentor and develop team members.
• Maintain strong client relationships and high customer satisfaction.
• Support Operations Director with planning, resources and process improvements.
• Be available for occasional Saturday work and outside-hours support.
