Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Klerksdorp, North West to lead critical IT implementations. You will manage the full lifecycle from scope to post-implementation support, guiding diverse teams and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.

The role requires strategic thinking, strong IT PM methodologies, risk management, and excellent communication. Remote collaboration and distributed teams are part of the environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Business Admin or related field.
• 8+ years of IT project management experience with enterprise solutions.
• Experience managing projects with budgets exceeding R40 million.
• PMP, PRINCE2 or Agile (CSM/SAFe) certification desirable.
• Expertise with MS Project, Jira and Asana.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end lifecycle of complex IT implementations from initiation to closure.
• Develop detailed project plans including scope, schedule, resources and budget.
• Lead and mentor project teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.
• Identify, assess and manage risks, issues and dependencies.
• Communicate with stakeholders at all levels with regular reports.
• Ensure on-time delivery within budget and defined quality standards.
• Oversee vendor management and contract negotiations for IT solutions.
• Implement and adhere to IT PM best practices and methodologies.
• Facilitate project meetings including kick-offs and status updates.
• Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes.
