Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager specializing in IT infrastructure to drive critical technology initiatives in Durban.

You will manage the planning, execution, and delivery of IT infrastructure projects, including network upgrades, data center deployments, and cloud migrations, collaborating with IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to minimize disruption and ensure successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Over 8 years of experience managing complex IT infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience with network design, server consolidation, cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), and cybersecurity initiatives.
• Strong understanding of ITIL and project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience managing remote and hybrid IT teams is a plus for this remote-friendly role.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of IT infrastructure projects, from initiation through to closure.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, resource allocation, and budgets for IT initiatives.
• Coordinate and lead cross-functional IT teams, including network engineers, system administrators, and security specialists.
• Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers, ensuring timely delivery and quality of work.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, proactively communicating status and resolutions to stakeholders.
• Ensure all IT projects adhere to company policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
