Job summary

SearchApi is seeking an engineering manager to own delivery end-to-end so the founder can step back from day-to-day work. You will run cadences, track every active project, surface risk early, and be the first escalation point when something breaks. A Manager of One who creates Managers of One.

You will lead through writing and sound decisions, guiding a small, high-output team that ships reliable software in a fully remote setup.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to run end-to-end delivery workflows.
• Strong written communication and clear decision-making.
• Tech-savvy with ability to read plans/PRs and call out issues.

Responsibilities

• Run cadences: planning, standups, retros, and reporting.
• Track state of every active project and surface risks early.
• Own delivery metrics such as cycle time and reliability.
• Coordinate incident responses and conduct blameless RCAs.
• Grow the team with 1:1s, coaching, and hiring pipelines.
