Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Endpoint Security Specialist in Randburg to protect user devices, servers, and other endpoints from malware and threats. You will deploy, manage, and optimize endpoint security solutions, analyze threat data, and respond to security incidents affecting endpoints.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in endpoint security, hands-on with EPP/EDR, and knowledge of multiple OS security configurations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of endpoint security or cybersecurity operations experience.
• Hands-on with enterprise endpoint protection platforms (EPP) and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions.
• Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and their security configurations.
• Understanding of malware analysis and threat intelligence.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain endpoint security solutions (EPP/EDR/HIPS).
• Monitor endpoint security alerts and investigate suspicious activities and potential threats.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for endpoint security management.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments on endpoints and ensure timely patching and remediation.
• Assist in the development and execution of incident response plans for endpoint security events.
• Provide technical support and guidance on endpoint security best practices to users and IT staff.
