Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Endpoint Security Specialist to join a virtual security operations center. You will deploy, manage, and optimize endpoint protection across desktops, laptops, and mobile devices from a fully remote setup.

The role requires 2+ years in IT security with hands-on EDR and antivirus experience, plus scripting skills for automation. Collaboration with global teams and a strong remote-work mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of IT security experience with a focus on endpoints.
• Hands-on with EDR solutions and traditional antivirus software.
• Familiarity with Windows/macOS/Linux, network protocols.
• Scripting for automating security tasks (PowerShell, Python).
• Knowledge of mobile device security and MDM desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration for remote teamwork.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote setting.
• Security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and manage endpoint security solutions (EDR, antivirus, DLP, MDM).
• Monitor endpoint security logs and alerts for threats.
• Investigate incidents, perform forensic analysis, and implement containment/remediation.
• Develop and refine endpoint security policies and configurations.
• Conduct routine vulnerability assessments and pen testing on endpoints.
• Provide user guidance on endpoint security best practices.
• Stay updated on threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies.
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate endpoint security with other security infra.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the endpoint security program.
• Maintain documentation of configurations and incident reports.
