Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Endpoint Security Specialist to join its fully remote security operations team. You will deploy, manage, and optimize endpoint protection across laptops, desktops, and mobile devices, monitor threats, and respond to security incidents to protect the organization’s assets.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in CS or information security and at least 4 years in cybersecurity with a focus on endpoint security, EDR, and incident response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on endpoint security and EDR solutions.
• Proven experience in deploying, managing, and troubleshooting endpoint security software.
• Strong understanding of malware types, attack vectors, and incident response procedures for endpoints.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) for automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and manage endpoint security solutions such as antivirus, EDR, and HIPS.
• Monitor endpoint security alerts and logs for suspicious activities and potential threats.
• Investigate endpoint security incidents, perform forensic analysis, and provide detailed incident reports.
• Develop and implement policies and configurations to harden endpoints against cyber threats.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and patch management for endpoint security software.
• Stay informed about the latest endpoint threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with IT operations and help desk teams to ensure timely resolution of endpoint security issues.
• Develop and maintain documentation for endpoint security procedures and configurations.
• Assist in the development and delivery of security awareness training related to endpoint security.
• Evaluate and recommend new endpoint security technologies and solutions.
