About the Role

Our client is a global leader in providing advanced electrical solutions and is looking for a highly specialized Remote Electrical Systems Specialist with a focus on cybersecurity. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere within South Africa . You will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our clients' networked electrical systems, developing and implementing robust cybersecurity strategies to protect against evolving threats. This role requires a unique blend of electrical engineering expertise and deep knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices, serving clients across various industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage cybersecurity strategies for industrial electrical control systems (ICS) and operational technology (OT) environments.


• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on networked electrical systems.


• Design and deploy security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption for OT networks.


• Monitor network traffic and system logs for security breaches or anomalous activities, responding to incidents as they occur.


• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures for remote access and data protection.


• Collaborate with IT and OT teams to ensure a unified approach to cybersecurity across the organization.


• Provide technical guidance and training on cybersecurity best practices to engineers and technical staff.


• Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies relevant to industrial control systems.

Requirements
