Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security infrastructure for potential threats and vulnerabilities using SIEM tools and other security solutions.

• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses.


• Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices.


• Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, attack vectors, and defensive measures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.


• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity analysis, incident response, or threat intelligence.


• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and common security vulnerabilities.


• Experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), IDS/IPS, and endpoint security solutions.


• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.


• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or GSEC are highly desirable.


• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly.


• Must be able to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work setting, potentially from Mahikeng or other regions in North West.
