Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer in Benoni to lead the design, integration, testing and maintenance of electrical systems across multiple projects. The role focuses on reliability, safety and performance of electrical infrastructures, from planning through deployment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical theory, control systems and power electronics, with at least 6 years in related roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in design, integration, and testing of electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical theory, control systems, and power electronics.
• Experience with system integration and validation processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement electrical systems for new projects and existing infrastructure upgrades.
• Conduct detailed system analysis, including performance modeling and risk assessments.
• Oversee the integration of electrical components and systems, ensuring compatibility and optimal functionality.
• Develop and execute test plans to validate system performance and compliance with requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical system issues, providing effective and timely solutions.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and user manuals.
