Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Remote Electrical Systems Analyst for a pioneering firm in smart grid technology. The role focuses on evaluating complex electrical systems to improve grid reliability, efficiency, and sustainability, while working remotely from anywhere in South Africa.

You will analyze data, develop models, run simulations, and generate actionable insights for stakeholders. A Master’s in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems) and 5+ years of experience are required,

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Systems or related analytical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical system analysis, performance monitoring and data interpretation.
• Strong proficiency with power system simulation software (PSS/E, ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory).
• Experience using data analysis tools (MATLAB, Python) and interpreting complex data.

Responsibilities

• Analyze electrical system performance data to identify trends and anomalies.
• Develop and maintain models and simulate operating scenarios for systems.
• Conduct power system studies to assess stability, reliability, and efficiency.
• Prepare reports and presentations detailing findings and recommendations for stakeholders.
• Collaborate remotely with engineers, operations managers, and clients.
