Placements24 is seeking an innovative Electrical Engineer to join a fully remote team focused on smart grid modernization. You will design, implement, and evaluate advanced grid solutions, collaborating with engineers and data scientists to improve reliability and efficiency.

The role requires a deep background in power systems, SCADA, and analytics, with a minimum of six years in the electrical utility sector.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with specialization in power systems or related field.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in the electrical utility sector, focusing on grid modernization and smart grid technologies.
Strong understanding of power system operations, distribution networks, and control systems.
Experience with SCADA, telecommunications, and data analytics platforms.
Proficiency in simulation and modeling tools for power systems.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills suitable for remote work.

Responsibilities

Design and implement advanced smart grid solutions, including SCADA, AMI, and distribution automation systems.
Analyze grid performance data to identify areas for improvement and develop optimization strategies.
Develop technical specifications for smart grid equipment and software components.
Collaborate with utility partners and stakeholders to integrate new technologies into existing infrastructure.
