Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Remote E-commerce Social Media Coordinator in South Africa to amplify our client’s brand across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and more. You will help create content, schedule posts, engage with the online community, and support e-commerce initiatives from a home office.

The ideal candidate is highly organized with strong written communication and a passion for social trends.

Qualifications

• Proven interest or foundational experience in social media marketing or e-commerce.
• Familiarity with major social platforms and best practices.
• Basic understanding of social media analytics and reporting tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Proactive and eager-to-learn attitude.
• Degree in Marketing/Communications is a plus.
• Canva proficiency is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the creation, curation, and scheduling of engaging content for social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn).
• Monitor social media channels for relevant conversations, comments, and messages, responding in a timely and professional manner.
• Support the execution of social media campaigns and promotions aimed at driving e-commerce sales.
• Help track and analyze social media performance metrics, contributing to regular reporting.
• Engage with followers and the online community to foster positive brand interactions.
• Conduct research on social media trends, competitor activities, and emerging platforms relevant to e-commerce.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure brand consistency across all digital touchpoints.
• Assist in managing social media advertising campaigns under supervision.
• Identify and report on user-generated content and community feedback.
• Maintain organized records of social media activities and content calendars.
