Placements24 is seeking a remote E-commerce Social Media Manager & Community Builder to lead our client’s online presence. You will craft engaging campaigns, manage all channels, and nurture a vibrant customer community across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest and Twitter from anywhere in South Africa.

You’ll create compelling content, analyze performance, collaborate with marketing and product teams, and stay ahead of platform trends.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing social media for an e-commerce brand.
• Portfolio showing campaigns and community growth across platforms.
• Excellent copywriting, editing and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of social media analytics and reporting.
• Familiarity with paid social advertising and budget management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with e-commerce goals.
• Manage day-to-day operations of all social channels, including content planning, scheduling, posting, and engagement.
• Create compelling content (text, images, video) tailored to each platform.
• Foster community engagement by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely manner.
• Identify influencers, brand advocates, and partners to expand reach and credibility.
• Monitor trends, competitor activity, and industry news to inform strategy.
• Analyze performance metrics and provide regular ROI insights.
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams for cohesive messaging and campaigns.
• Develop and execute social advertising campaigns to drive traffic and conversions.
• Stay updated on new features and best practices to improve performance.
