Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or related field.
• 4+ years of procurement experience in e-commerce/retail.
• Proven experience sourcing and negotiating with domestic and international suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure a wide array of products for our e-commerce platform, ensuring competitive pricing and quality.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and contracts.
• Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging product trends and potential new suppliers.
• Analyze sales data and inventory levels to forecast demand and optimize stock procurement.
• Manage the entire procurement lifecycle, from initial sourcing to order fulfillment and payment, remotely.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies in procurement activities.
• Collaborate closely with marketing, sales, and logistics teams to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
• Identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising product quality or customer satisfaction.
• Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, addressing any issues proactively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in procurement, specifically within the e-commerce or retail sector.
• Demonstrated success in sourcing and negotiating with a variety of suppliers, ideally globally.
• Excellent understanding of online retail operations and supply chain dynamics.
• Proficiency with e-commerce platforms, procurement software, and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret sales and inventory data.
• Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, suitable for a remote role.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively without direct supervision.
• Experience with international shipping and customs procedures is a plus.
• Must be based in South Africa and comfortable working in a fully remote capacity.
