Job summary

Blacksmith Agency seeks a Director of Paid Media to lead our PPC and SEO practice. You will own channel strategy, guide the PPC and SEO strategists, and ensure the department delivers strong client results.

This is a management role with no hands-on campaign building by you, as specialists execute the tactics. You will own audits, reporting quality, and attribution integrity, while maintaining direct client communication for underperforming accounts.

Qualifications

• 7+ years across paid media and SEO.
• Depth in Google Ads, GA4, Search Console, Meta and Microsoft Ads.
• Experience turning around at least one account, with measurable impact.
• Comfortable being the client-facing owner when accounts underperform.
• Agency experience carrying many accounts simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Own channel strategy and budget allocation as accounts scale.
• Set quality bars for the PPC and SEO strategists and review output.
• Ensure honest, accurate reporting and GA4 data integrity across clients.
• Lead escalation when an account is at risk and direct the responsible strategist.
• Collaborate with sales to credibly present delivery capabilities.
