Placements24 is seeking a Director of Business Development & Operations to join its leadership team in a fully remote role across South Africa. You will drive growth, oversee client project delivery, and lead a remote team of consultants and project managers.

The ideal candidate has a Master's degree, 10+ years in BD/operations, a proven growth track record in consulting, and strong strategic planning and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in business/management or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in business development, operations, or strategic roles.
• Proven track record of driving growth and managing complex operational functions.
• Strong understanding of consulting methodologies and operational best practices.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic BD plans to identify and pursue new market opportunities.
• Lead client engagement and build relationships with key stakeholders.
• Oversee operational delivery of consulting projects to ensure client satisfaction.
• Mentor and manage a remote team of consultants and project managers.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets for profitability and resource optimization.
• Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships to expand services and market reach.
• Drive innovation in service delivery and operational processes.
• Monitor market trends to inform strategic decisions.
• Prepare and present business cases, proposals, and performance reports to senior leadership and clients.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and quality standards.
