Job summary

IQVIA is seeking a Data Acquisition Specialist to manage external data streams for clinical trials, including data mapping, transfer agreements, and UAT. The role involves coordinating with data providers and cross-functional teams to ensure compliant data capture and timely delivery.

The position is remote-based, requiring strong communication in English, with experience in SDTM and GCP/ICH guidelines. A Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of data management in clinical research are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Computer Science.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience managing data in support of clinical research.
• Experience working with external data sources (Safety Lab, PK, biomarkers, ECG) in a clinical study setting.
• Experience developing Data Transfer Agreements (DTA/tsDTA).
• Knowledge of SDTM and working knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Execute deliverables for Standardized External Data Streams.
• Assess external data collection requirements per protocol and plan setup activities to meet study timelines.
• Liaise with data stakeholders to establish data transfer, ingestion, and structure per data models.
• Create change requests for new data concepts or structures.
• Develop trial-specific Data Transfer Agreements documenting requirements and methods.
• Ensure data transfer frequencies meet study requirements.
• Liaise with external data providers to align tsDTA.
• Translate medical concepts into data mapping guidance for Clinical programmers.
• UAT of test data transfers to ensure accuracy with specifications.
• Implement data transfer mechanisms into the Central Data Repository (CDR).
• Monitor availability and quality of external data streams and resolve issues.
