Job summary

IQVIA is seeking a Data Acquisition Specialist - External Data to define, set up, and ingest external data streams for clinical trials. You will work on data transfer agreements and liaise with data providers to ensure compliant, timely data transfer into the central data repository.

The role covers remote/homebased work with global study teams; requires SDTM knowledge, GCP/ICH familiarity, and strong English communication. Minimum 3 years' experience in clinical data management is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 3 years' experience managing data in clinical research.
• Experience with external data (e.g., ECG, imaging, EHR) preferred.
• Knowledge of SDTM and GCP/ICH guidelines.
• Ability to translate scientific concepts into data mapping guidance.

Responsibilities

• Define, set-up and ingest external data streams for clinical trials.
• Assess data collection requirements per protocol and plan data setup.
• Work with stakeholders to define transfer, ingestion, and data structure.
• Create change requests for new data concepts or data structures.
• Develop trial-specific Data Transfer Agreements documenting requirements.
• Ensure data transfer frequencies meet study needs and timelines.
• Coordinate with external data providers to align tsDTA terms.
• UAT test data transfers for accuracy against data specs.
• Implement data transfer mechanisms into central data repository.
