Job summary

IQVIA seeks a Data Acquisition Specialist - External Data to define, set up and ingest external data streams for clinical trials. The role spans data from labs, ECG, imaging, EHR, wearables and other digital sources while ensuring protocol alignment.

You will liaise with data stakeholders, develop tsDTA documents, and monitor data transfer accuracy and conformance to data protection laws. This remote role is full-time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Computer Science.
• Minimum 3 years' experience managing data in clinical research.
• Experience with external data sources (e.g. Safety Lab, PK, ECG, imaging).
• Experience developing data transfer agreements.
• Knowledge of SDTM and GCP/ICH guidelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Execute deliverables for standardized external data streams.
• Assess external data collection requirements per protocol and plan setup activities.
• Liaise with data stakeholders to define data transfer and structure per data model.
• Create change requests for new data concepts or structures.
• Develop trial-specific Data Transfer Agreements (tsDTAs).
• Ensure data transfer frequencies meet study requirements (monitoring, reporting).
• Liaise with external data providers to align tsDTA.
• Translate medical concepts into data mapping guidance for Clinical programmers.
• UAT of test data transfers to ensure data spec conformance.
• Implement data transfer mechanisms into the data system (CDR).
• Monitor availability and accuracy of external data streams; resolve transfer issues.
