Job summary

IQVIA is seeking a Data Acquisition Specialist - External Data (Remote/Homebased) to define, set up and ingest external data streams for clinical trials. You will coordinate with data stakeholders, ensure compliance with data protection laws, and deliver standardized data streams from labs, ECG, imaging, biomarkers, and real-world data.

You will develop tsDTA, perform data mapping guidance, conduct UAT, and monitor data availability while liaising with external providers to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience managing data in clinical research.
• Experience with external data e.g., Safety Lab, PK, ECG, biomarkers.
• Experience with external data providers in a clinical study setting.
• Experience developing data transfer agreements.
• Experience working on clinical trials.
• Experience working in diverse, cross-functional, global teams.
• Knowledge of SDTM.
• Working knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Execute deliverables for Standardized External Data Streams.
• Assess external data collection requirements per protocol and planning of setup activities.
• Liaise with data stakeholders to define data transfer requirements and structure.
• Create change requests for new data concepts or structures.
• Develop trial-specific Data Transfer Agreements documenting study requirements.
• Ensure data transfer frequencies meet requirements (medical data review, monitoring, reporting).
• Liaise with external data providers to align tsDTA.
• Translate medical concepts into data mapping guidance for Clinical programmers.
• UAT of test data transfers to ensure alignment with data specifications.
• Implement data transfer mechanisms for external data streams into the data repository.
• Monitor availability and accuracy of external data streams; resolve issues with providers.
