Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst specializing in Incident Response to join a rapidly growing security firm. The role allows remote work and focuses on detecting, analyzing, and responding to security incidents to protect critical data and systems.

You will join a dedicated team, work with advanced tools, and contribute to proactive security measures while developing your skills in incident response, forensics, and threat mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, cybersecurity, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of cybersecurity experience focusing on incident response or security operations.
• Solid understanding of common threats, attack vectors, and mitigations.
• Hands-on with SIEM, EDR, and network monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of forensic techniques and security frameworks (NIST/ISO 27001).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts from SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoints.
• Investigate incidents to determine scope, impact, and root cause.
• Develop and execute incident response playbooks and runbooks.
• Perform forensic analysis on compromised systems and networks.
• Contain threats, eradicate them, and apply remediation.
• Document details, actions, and lessons learned.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders during incidents.
• Stay updated on threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigations.
• Participate in security awareness and policy improvement.
