Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Remote Cybersecurity Consultant to provide expert advisory services from Upington. You will assess client security needs, develop tailored strategies, and guide implementation of best practices in a remote, client-facing capacity.

The role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication, strong knowledge across network, cloud, and data security, plus CISSP or CISM certifications and 8+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity consulting or a senior cybersecurity advisory role.
• Proven track record in designing and implementing robust security solutions.
• Strong understanding of various security domains including network, application, cloud, and data security.
• Excellent client-facing skills, including communication, negotiation, and relationship management.
• CISSP, CISM, or similar advanced certifications are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive cybersecurity assessments and risk analyses for clients.
• Develop strategic cybersecurity roadmaps and implementation plans tailored to client needs.
• Advise clients on security architecture, policy development, and incident response planning.
• Provide expert guidance on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies.
• Assist clients in achieving and maintaining compliance with relevant security standards and regulations.
• Deliver clear and concise reports and presentations to client stakeholders.
