Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Culinary Operations Lead to manage and optimize catering kitchen operations from a distance across Gauteng and beyond. This leadership role ensures culinary excellence, food safety, and efficiency without being on-site.

You will develop standardized recipes, supervise remote kitchen teams, manage inventory and supplier relationships, and drive data-driven improvements while aligning offerings with market needs and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in culinary management, preferably in high-volume catering or food service operations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage kitchen teams effectively in a remote or distributed environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP) and operational best practices.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in using technology for operational management, communication, and reporting.
• Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce standardized recipes, cooking procedures, and quality control measures for all menu items.
• Oversee remote kitchen teams, providing guidance on operational efficiency, food preparation, and sanitation standards.
