Placements24 seeks a skilled Remote Contract Lawyer to advise and support business operations from a remote location. You will draft, review, and negotiate service, supplier, and partnership agreements while mitigating risk and ensuring compliance with South African law.

The role requires admitted status with 5+ years in contract and commercial matters, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently in a fully remote setup.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney with at least 5 years of experience in contract law and commercial matters.
• Demonstrated expertise in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
• Strong understanding of contract principles and applicable South African law.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, including service agreements, supplier contracts, and partnership agreements.
• Provide legal advice on contractual terms, obligations, and potential risks.
• Ensure all contracts comply with relevant laws and company policies.
• Manage contract lifecycles, including renewals and terminations.
• Liaise with internal departments to understand their contractual needs and provide appropriate legal support.
• Maintain organized records of all executed agreements and legal documentation.
