Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Legal Counsel (contracts). You will independently manage the full lifecycle of commercial agreements, aligning them with company strategy and risk appetite while collaborating with internal teams and external partners from anywhere in South Africa.

Responsibilities include drafting, negotiating, and managing vendor and service contracts, plus providing expert guidance on interpretation, risk, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Admitted attorney with at least 5 years focused on commercial contracts.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills with attention to risk.
• Experience using legal tech platforms for contract management and remote work.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage high volumes of complex commercial contracts.
• Provide expert contract interpretation, risk assessment and compliance guidance.
• Develop and maintain standardized contract templates and playbooks for consistency.
• Collaborate with business units to deliver tailored legal solutions.
