Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Legal Counsel to join our remote-first team. You will draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, advise on terms, and manage the contract lifecycle from inception to renewal.

The ideal candidate has an LLB/JD, admission to practice, and 5+ years in contract drafting and negotiation within a corporate or firm setting. Strong analytical skills and independent work ethic are essential for success in a remote environment.

Qualifications

Law degree (LLB or JD) from an accredited institution.
Admitted to practice law in a recognized jurisdiction.
Minimum of 5 years of experience focused on commercial contract drafting, review, and negotiation.
Experience with contract lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate a broad spectrum of commercial contracts, including SLAs, software licenses, vendor and partnership agreements.
Advise business stakeholders on contractual terms, risks, and compliance issues.
Ensure contracts adhere to company policies and legal requirements.
Manage the contract lifecycle from inception to renewal.
Conduct legal research related to contract law and regulatory frameworks.
Collaborate with internal teams to translate business needs into contractual provisions.
Assist in developing contract templates and standardized clauses.
Maintain organized contract storage and retrieval.
Identify and report potential legal risks.
