Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Remote Construction Planner to lead detailed project schedules, resource plans, and logistics strategies for diverse construction projects. The role requires autonomy, the use of advanced planning tools, and collaboration with project managers and site teams from various locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction planning and scheduling.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, or Asta PowerProject.
• Strong understanding of construction means and methods, project lifecycles, and sequencing.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective remote collaboration.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update detailed construction project schedules using scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Perform critical path analysis and identify potential delays, risks, and opportunities for schedule acceleration.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to gather information for schedule development and updates.
• Plan and sequence construction activities logically, considering dependencies and resource availability.
• Develop resource loading and leveling plans to optimize labor, equipment, and material utilization.
• Prepare detailed logistics plans, including site access, material handling, and temporary facilities.
• Assist in the development of project execution strategies and methodologies.
• Conduct regular schedule review meetings with project teams to communicate progress and upcoming activities.
• Analyze project performance against the baseline schedule and prepare variance reports.
• Contribute to the risk management process by identifying schedule-related risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
